Description

Responsibilities

  • Join a small, high-impact, multi-talented AI/ML team.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Data Scientists, Data Engineers and ML Engineers.
  • Develop company-wide AI platforms and services that are useful to multiple divisions/business units and are unlikely to be developed by an individual division.
  • Own, operate, and maintain your team’s services in a distributed production environment. Employ Agile methodologies to continuously deliver value to customers.
  • Drive quality by writing unit, functional, load and performance tests.
  • Work in a full ownership DevOps model to ensure services are reliable, scalable, manageable and supportable. Develop diagnostic and troubleshooting tools made available via our developer portal and to our customer support organization.
  • Excel as an engineer and be a productive member of the team where leadership is a behavioral trait, not a title. Lead architecture, design and code reviews as well as mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

A Senior AI Architect

  • Runs the PO role to capture requirements from the business unit, to ensure proper product alignment.
  • Deep technical understanding of machine learning and deep learning; basic understanding of other AI tools.
  • Understanding of available (open-source and other 3rd party) tools for building AI and data systems.
  • Ability to implement AI teams’ workflows and processes.
  • Ongoing education to keep up-to-date with evolving AI technology.
  • Understand data science models code, analyzes it and is capable of refactor it to ensure the quality requirements in production environment.
  • It fully understand the Data Science and Knowledge Discovery process.
  • Brings the best software development practices to the team and helps them speed up their work
  • Asserts that all production tasks are working properly in terms of actual execution, logging, monitoring and scheduling
  • Chooses best operational architecture together with devops team
  • Looks constantly for performance improvement and decides which ML technologies will be used in production environment

Skills

  • Languages: Fluent in Python and Scala
  • Common ML frameworks & libraries: Numpy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, Matplotlib, TensorFlow, Keras, NLTK,  Gensim & Statsmodels.
  • Experience in NLP/NLG, deep learning (LSTM, mostly) and Bayesian Inference.
  • Computer Science AND/OR Mathematics background.
  • Previous 3-5 years experience in building ML/AI systems.
  • 5+ years of experience of hands-on experience developing ML/AI models.
  • Hands on experience with cloud technologies such as AWS (Amazon Web Services), OpenStack or Azure.
  • Extensive experience scaling production backend systems.
  • You have worked in an Agile development environment. You are an expert in practical aspects of running Scrum (or other agile methodologies) within a team and in a distributed cross-team environment.
  • Ideally, you have experience in a production DevOps environment where you ship rapidly and often.
  • Minimum 5 years experience building complex distributed systems across concerns of reliability, high-availability, performance, scalability, capacity planning, and automation.
  • Fluent English.
