Assist in the oversight of the operations team. Duties will include improving current functions as it relates to trade support and settlements.
Experience in Operations and be knowledgeable in all aspects of the trade lifecycle for fixed income securities.
Ability to report on operational aspects of the team to senior management is a plus.
Experience working on a trading floor is desired.
Providing quick resolutions to sales and trading staff
Complete daily trade confirmation and portfolio position and cash reconciliations.
Ensure trades are pre-matched and/or confirmed no later than T+1.
Maintain settlement instructions of all sub-accounts across multiple depositories.
Responsible for monitoring trade corrections and/or cancellations and ensuring details travel across multiple applications (i.e. TOMS, Impact and Star)
Liaise between Trading, Sales, Finance, and other departments (internal and external) to facilitate timely resolution of settlement issues.
Investigate failed trade reports and assist Back Office with contacts and details on form of confirmation/pre-matching.
Monitor/maintain middle office and back office e-mail distributions.
Validate position and cash reconciliation reports on a nightly basis.
Serve as Broadridge Vendor Risk Management committee contact.
Liaise with DCM and Syndicate teams regarding bond issuance as it relates to security set-up at depositories, verification of investor and issuer SSI''s and trading details and processing of issuer payment on closing.
Work closely with both Trading and Sales Team in New York to resolve trade booking discrepancies.
Assist Broadridge BPO teams and Back Office Control team with settlement issues.
Back-up for the other members of Middle Office and Operations teams.
Bachelor''s Degree (BA, BS, etc.) in a related field required with Seven (7) years of investment experience. Work experience may substitute for education requirement.
Required: FINRA Series 99 and/or 7
Preferred: Experience with Trade Support & Settlement software ( i.e. DTC, Clearstream, BONY BDC formerly GSCX, Bloomberg TOMS, Broadridge Impact, etc) is a plus
